and why this was a good auction to go to..

(Antwerp by David Norden, May 7- 2011) inside this post you’ll find the reasons why I went to this auction at Dorotheum, the image I have taken during the preview in Brussels, the auction result list, and a pdf with the top lots of the auction of May 3rd with estimates, images and results (e.g.: one lot that was estimated 600-1200€ and was sold for 27,140 € ) you’ll see also the images of the five lots I was able to buy and what to look after before going to an auction to know if you can have success.

It was an outstanding beginning for the Tribal Art section at the Vienna Dorotheum. Almost all lots of the “unknown” collection Professor Rudolf Leopold were sold far exceeding expectations. There were bidders from all over the world, the auction hall was filled to its limit and there were a lot of bidders on the phones. Percentage of lots sold:
