CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) has originated an unusual exhibit — Art and Power in the Central African Savanna — that will be on display through May 31 before it goes on tour to other places in the country. See a slide show and read more about those 60 central African sculptures whose original purpose was to mediate between the human and spirit worlds.

Discover the Art of the Pende tribe. See 45 more images from the printed catalogue in the member section and a pdf interview (in French) from Mr. Desaive about his passion on collecting Pende Art. You can combine the March 20, 2009 opening at 6 p.m. at the Philippe et Lisa Laeremans Gallery with the Eurantica Fair that is also going on in Brussels at the same moment

A Kota Mbulu-Ngulu reliquiry figure from Gabon.
The depth and breadth of them is wonderful too. Here are some that are worth the trip.

You remember I did some video to promote my club ? Well some other dealer found it a good idea, and made his own “Hand Shaken” video of his private view sale in San Francisco, guess it is the effect of the Tequila on the rocks. I spoted a real nice Senufo statue. What’s the price?? See the video and the last information below
